Annual Fall Conference
The 2025 CGFOA Annual Conference will be held at the beautiful Embassy Suites in Loveland, Colorado from November 18-21, 2025. Join your peers for education, networking, and fun! There are a variety of tracks to choose from, knowledgeable instructors, and a lot to see and learn at the vendor tables.

Nominate Your Peers
Each year the Colorado Government Finance Officers Association (CGFOA) recognizes the achievements of its members by presenting a Finance Professional of the Year and Significant Contribution award at the Annual Fall Conference. Now’s your chance to nominate an outstanding finance professional, team, or organization that you believe is deserving of these awards.
- The Finance Professional of the Year Award is presented to an individual that has made a significant impact within their organization, has achieved success in the organization’s growth, and has shown exemplary leadership skills throughout their career. Submit your nomination here.
- The Significant Contribution Award is intended to recognize projects or programs that are original and represent a significant contribution to the field of government finance. These are projects or programs that would benefit other organizations if implemented. Submit your nomination here.
Award nominations must be submitted no later than October 24th. The nominations will be reviewed by the CGFOA Executive Board, and nominees will be contacted with the results prior to the Annual Conference.

Featured Member Spotlight
Meet Amanda Klapperich, CFO at Rio Grande County!
- How long have you been with your current organization: 4+ years
- Tell us a little bit about your background: I have a Bachelor's of Science in Accounting with two Master's Degrees in Professional Accounting and Finance. I have been in the accounting field for 14+ years with experience in corporate, nonprofit, and governmental accounting.
- How did you get into the public finance field: I was introduced to the public finance field while working for the City of Monte Vista which is where I decided to complete my accounting degree.
- Did you work in other professions, and if so where and for how long: I have worked in other professions and have been exposed to several different fields. After graduating high school I was a manager for Arby's, then went to work for the Colorado Department of Corrections as a guard when I turned 21 and did this for 4+ years. I then met my husband and we relocated to the San Luis Valley where I was the receptionist for the Monte Vista Police Department.
- How long have you been a CGFOA member: 4 years
- What is the best thing about being a CGFOA member: The networking and training opportunities
- Tell us something interesting and unique about yourself: I am a hunter/hiker. Love to go backpacking and spend my time outside.

CGFOA Board Meeting
The next CGFOA Board Meeting is our Annual Meeting at the Fall Conference. This takes place Thursday at 4pm prior to the Banquet Awards Dinner. Our members are always invited to attend our board meetings.
